We at Big Fish Little Fish now offer angling coaching. Whether you are an absolute beginner who has never tried fishing but has always fancied giving it a go, a Mum or Dad looking for a hobby that you can enjoy together with your children. Or an experienced carp fisherman looking to improve your fishing in a certain area or learn a new technique.
All lessons are conducted by Leon Fisher, Leon is a fully qualified teacher (B.Ed.) and has been fishing for over 30 years. He has fished for a variety of species across the globe, and has specialised in fishing for carp in the UK and abroad for over 25 years. As well as being a very experienced angler Leon is also a fisheries scientist and ex lecturer. His patient and friendly approach will help you to enjoy a great day on the bank. Where the emphasis is on learning new skills and most importantly having fun and catching fish. Nothing is set in stone and we can tailor individual tutorials to fit your needs, just drop Leon a line to discuss your requirements. You can also buy lessons as a gift, again contact Leon for details.

24hr Carp fishing tutorial with Leon Fisher of Big Fish Little Fish.
I used to Carp fish in the 1970,s with Slade and T. Rex ruling the airwaves ! Having
recently decided to rekindle my interest in Carp fishing I realised things (methods) had changed somewhat ! Enormous cubes of luncheon meat on a size 4 no longer the top tip !!
Leon at Big fish little fish had kitted me out and pointed me in the right direction, but to really hone some lacking skills I decided to book a 24hour tutorial with him.
We went to Stafford moor lakes near Okehampton and with a full 24 hours ahead we were able to cover so many basic and advanced skills, practically and in a real Carp fishing environment. Basically Leon would cover any skills that I wanted to learn, sohe was quite busy and very patient !!
Everything from reading the water, looking for Carpy spots, setting up, different rigs, and their uses, using a marker float to map a swim, casting with a clip, spombing, baits, and different fishing methods ,generally anything I wanted to know.I found this tutorial invaluable its so helpful to have a friendly expert there to show you the way, its one thing watching youtube tutorials and talking about skills but somuch better actually fishing and having the expert at hand, many thanks for an awesome day Leon.
Oh nearly forgot I caught a 15lb mirror at 11.00pm, at 0200am I had one about 11lb and then we did a bit of stalking in the margins the next morning with a trusty floating biscuit which resulted in a 15lb mirror, very satisfying trip indeed and an excellent tutorial too. Much recommended .
